A board walk is built for you to get a sense of the dense forest beneath and the wide variety of flora and fauna. A flight today will take us further south to New Zealand often referred as ‘The Land of the Long White Cloud’ by the natives. We will begin our New Zealand tour with Christchurch which has bounced back amazingly after the 2011 earthquake. You will see the remnants of the horrific past as you drive past the Cathedral Square. After a quick pizza lunch, we will take a coach to the hotel for rest after the long flight.

Set out to see the colorful patches of the Canterbury Plains from the comfort of your Trans Alpine train coach. You will pass by beautiful scenery which can be enjoyed from the seats or from the open viewing compartment sipping hot coffee & snacks from the pantry. Today we depart for Fjordland National Park for a scenic Milford Sound Cruise of a lifetime! See now the majestic mountains rise from the ocean floor with greenery and the blue ocean surrounding you. There are many waterfalls trickling down which you can marvel at whilst enjoying lunch onboard. Say hello to the dolphins which swim along with the surf of the boat. The drive here is equally stunning passing the historical Homer Tunnel and the old gold mining town of Te Anau.

At first you will visit the serene Rainbow Springs where you will see the indigenous flora, fauna and wildlife like the nocturnal national bird Kiwi. A biologist will explain you about the local plan varietals and you can also see and try some of the crystal clear and cool natural spring water. Later we visit Te Puia where you will witness the bubbling mud pools & shooting jets of hot water. At the local Maori Arts and Crafts Institute know more about their lifestyle and woodcarving artistry. Next up is a sheep auction and a fantastic display of sheep herding, different kinds of sheep and how they shear wool at Agrodome.

Today we drive past rolling meadows to witness magic under the earth. The Waitomo Caves are display stunning limestone formations which are easily accessible by foot. Later witness the roof of the cave suddenly light up thanks to thousands of glow worms on the roof. Later we continue to reach the big city Auckland.
